Long living-dining with reflective midday light needed softer evenings without blackout curtains. Wall-wash ambient, a dimmable dining group, and shielded reading lamps. Dinner and cleaning scenes share circuits but move independently. Spill toward the river dropped by aiming and lower dinner levels.
Galley kitchen facing a dim court lacked counter light by mid-afternoon. Under-cabinet task strips, a clearer ceiling ambient line, and a separate cleaning scene restored prep light without flooding neighbour windows. Socket heights drove fixture choice.
Timed stair lights left the apartment door dark after the landing clicked off. A facade-compliant wall light and hall ambient scene bridged arrival. Building rules limited fixture size; finishes stayed quiet and shielded. Handover included a German-language switch map.
Attic desk suffered glare from a single ceiling spot. Adjustable task lamp, soft ambient bounce, and a late-reading scene for the bed niche. No new recessed cans — timber structure limits ruled them out.
Four-room flat received ambient, task, bathroom mirror, and entry layers with three household scenes. Design package sat mid-range in our CHF 2,800–5,500 full-home band; fixtures and electrician fees were separate.
