Task light answers a job: chopping, reading, shaving, keyboard work. It should not replace ambient fill. We place under-cabinet strips, adjustable desk lamps, and vanity fittings at heights that match how you stand and sit.

Cooler task sources help accuracy; warmer ones suit dining. We keep them on separate dimmers from ambient when possible:
